Deemed 'one to watch' by JazzFM's Simon Phillps, rising jazz vocalist Camille Rose is quickly becoming a major player on the UK scene. With influences ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Amy Winehouse, Bessie Smith to Erykah Badu, Camille’s music weaves together narratives, genres and traditions from across the jazz diaspora; creating something fresh and contemporary whilst strongly honouring and appreciating the rich tradition. With two independently released EP's ‘Raining in July' and 'Be Alright' under her belt- both of which received radio play from BBC London and JazzFM respectively, 2024 saw Camille's debut performance for EFG London Jazz festival at a sold out Pizza Express Dean Street. Camille’s Soho Jazz Festival performance brings her artistic skills front and centre; showcasing her vocal agility, story-telling, and improvisational craft. Expect both original compositions and contemporary arrangements of jazz repertoire from Camille’s highly anticipated third EP “SUNSHOWERS”.
